We love innovative and clever ideas, and this is surely 1 of those from the guys at Nite Ize who seem to love creating clever products . The scenario is this you are loading up a bakkie and you have to tie it down. So you look for a length of rope and start making granny knots, loops and all sorts of tricks to try and tension the rope to stop the load falling off, and then once you get to the other side you have to start untying those knots. Either that or you have a ratchet tie down and you start cranking.

The Nite Ize figure 9 rope tensioner makes locking a load down simple.

It works in 2 ways the loop system or the fixed end system

Loop system for when you wrap the rope around something and need to tighten it, for example tying a rope around a load of wood.

Fixed end system typical tying a load to a bakkie situation where 1 end of the rope is tied to a fixed point and you need to tension the rope.
