Matweld E7018-1 is a basic coated hydrogen-controlled electrode designed for all-position welding of carbon-manganese and low alloy steels requiring X-ray examination. It offers low spatter, excellent re-strike characteristics, and produces a clean bead profile with easily detachable slag. This 4kg pack of 3.2mm rods requires a minimum AC open circuit voltage of 70V and must be baked at 180°C (350°F) for 2 hours prior to use.
