This rutile coated stainless steel electrode is designed for versatile welding in all positions except vertical down. Its highly alloyed composition resists hot cracking even when diluted with various steels, making it ideal for repair and maintenance of unknown compositions, joining dissimilar steels, and repairing dies and tool steel. The weld deposits offer excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance, with good scaling resistance up to 1000°C (1850°F).
