Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of OneShop at https://oneshop.co.za and related services (the "Service"), operated from South Africa. Please read them carefully. By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, or clicking through to a retailer from OneShop, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. About OneShop

OneShop is a product discovery and price comparison platform for South African shoppers. We aggregate product information and offers from participating retailers and brands so you can browse, compare, save, and follow what interests you.

OneShop is not a retailer. We do not sell products, process payments, fulfil orders, or provide warranties on goods. When you choose an offer, you are redirected to a third-party merchant’s website where separate terms and privacy policies apply.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement under South African law to use the Service. By using OneShop, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts

• You may sign in with email and password or, where enabled, through supported social login providers.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to update it when it changes.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security or legal risk.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service except as permitted by us in writing or by applicable law.
• Attempt to bypass security, access non-public areas, or interfere with the operation of the Service.
• Upload malware, spam, or content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Post affiliate spam, undisclosed promotional links, or misleading commercial content in community areas.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with OneShop, a brand, or a retailer.
• Use automated means to manipulate votes, rankings, or community features.

Community links should be relevant and honest. Promotional or affiliate links to external sites other than OneShop or first-party participating retailers are prohibited unless we expressly allow them.

5. Product information and pricing

Product titles, descriptions, images, specifications, availability, and prices on OneShop are supplied by retailers, brands, feeds, or automated enrichment tools. We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee that information is complete, current, or error-free.

• Prices, promotions, and stock levels may change on the retailer’s site before or after you click through.
• The retailer’s checkout page is the authoritative source for the final price, delivery terms, and purchase conditions.
• Any AI-generated summaries or editorial content are provided for convenience and should not be relied on as the sole basis for a purchase decision.

6. Redirects to retailers

When you select an offer, you may pass through a OneShop redirect page before arriving at the merchant. Redirect links may include tracking parameters so we can measure referrals and improve the Service. Your relationship with the retailer — including payment, delivery, returns, and consumer rights — is solely between you and that merchant.

7. Saved items, lists, and recommendations

Features such as saved items, lists, brand follows, taste profiles, and personalised feeds are provided for your convenience. We do not guarantee availability of saved products or that recommendations will meet your expectations.

8. Community content

If you post threads, comments, collections, or other user content, you retain ownership of your content but grant OneShop a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute it in connection with operating and promoting the Service.

You are solely responsible for content you submit. We may remove content or restrict access where it violates these Terms, applicable law, or community standards, without prior notice where reasonably necessary.

9. Intellectual property

The OneShop name, logo, website design, software, editorial materials, and other platform content are owned by OneShop or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary materials except as permitted by these Terms or with our written consent.

Trademarks, logos, and product images belonging to retailers and brands remain the property of their respective owners and are displayed for identification and comparison purposes.

10. Advertising and sponsored content

The Service may display advertisements, sponsored placements, or affiliate relationships. Where required, paid or sponsored content will be identified in a clear manner. Advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Merchant partners

Retailers and brands may apply to list offers through our merchant portal. Merchant participation is subject to separate application, approval, and partner agreements. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership between you and OneShop in respect of third-party goods.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY SOUTH AFRICAN LAW.

OneShop does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, nor that defects will be corrected. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, products, or services of third-party retailers.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ONESHOP AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY THIRD-PARTY RETAILER.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ZAR 500.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act or other mandatory South African law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OneShop from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any third-party rights.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

17. Changes

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
