This rutile coated stainless steel electrode is designed for all-position welding except vertical down. Its highly alloyed composition resists hot cracking even when diluted with carbon, austenitic, and high alloy steels, making it ideal for repair and maintenance of unknown steel compositions, joining dissimilar steels, and repairing dies and tool steel. The weld deposits offer excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance, with scaling resistance up to 1000°C (1850°F).
